I started Practical Prep Tutors in 2016 after teaching at the elementary level for nearly a decade. Teaching has always been my passion, but I was searching for a path that would allow me to continue working with students while creating a flexible work environment for myself and my future family. I could never have imagined how the business would grow in a matter of years. It has thrived through two cross-country moves, the birth of my two children, and a surprise global pandemic. Our team of tutors now spans five states and covers nearly all of the significant subject areas. We are proud to serve between 40-50 students at any given time with the following goals for each client:

• To develop a personalized tutoring approach designed to anticipate students’ needs and steer them towards their academic goals.
• To provide structured time for strengthening new skills while solidifying underlying concepts.
• To directly and frequently communicate with parents and classroom teachers to ensure the best possible outcome for each student.
• To reduce homework and other school-related stress in the household.
• To present flexible logistical options designed to meet each family’s scheduling needs.
